Eli Arkham City on jatkoa ylistetylle Arkham Asylumille.

Traileri julkaistiin jo viime vuonna.

Kovin paljoa pelistä ei vielä tiedetä, mutta seuraavat asiat ainakin ovat varmoja:
- Hahmoista Batmanin lisäksi ainakin Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Talia al Ghul ja Two-Face ovat varmasti mukana.
- Peli sijoittuu "Arkham Cityyn", joka on Gothamin uusi kaupunginosa, jonne Arkham on laajentanut.

Kuvista (1, 2) päätellen Catwoman tulee olemaan suuressa roolissa. Mahdollisesti pääpahiksena? Tai ehkä apurina? Mahdollisesti jopa co-opissa?

Vaikea kuvitella miten edellisestä pelistä voisi parantaa, mutta co-op olisi ainakin yksi vaihtoehto.

En usko että Kissanainen olisi pääpahiksena, eiköhän se Jokeri kuitenkin ole Mul on sellanen käsitys että Kissanaisella ja Batmanilla olis sellanen viha/rakkaussuhde. Varsinkin koska Kissanainen ei tee väkivaltarikoksia, ainoastaan varkauksia yms. Onhan tämä nimittäin mestarivaras.

Eli Kissanainen ehkä avustaa Bättistä sen matkan varrella, tai voi olla jopa tosiaan Coopissa mukana, se olis kyllä helmeä.

Muuten kyllä tä peli tulee olemaan varmaan ME3:n ja Fallout: New Vegasin ohella yksi niistä jota oikeasti odotan mielenkiinnolla.

Kissanainen tosiaan sopisi cooppiin todella hyvin, ainakin paljon paremmin kuin joku Robin. Tuskin tosiaan pääpahiksena, onhan Jokerinkin näytelty naureskelevan jo trailerissa.

Minä luulin että "Arkham has moved" mainoslause viittasi johonkin joukkopakoon Arkhamista. Katsotaan mitä käy. Itse en panisi pahitteeksi että Gothamia nähtäisiin myös Arkhamin ulkopuolelta, vaikka tietty klaustrofobisuus onkin osa Batman-maailman viehätystä. (Yksi syy miksi dark knight-elokuva minun silmissäni lässähti oli juurikin se että sitä filmattiin oikean maailman kohteissa, jolloin menetettiin juuri se painostava tunnelma).

Uskon että jokeri on satavarmasti yksi pääpahiksista, koska Mark Hamill on kuuma nimi Jokerin äänenä tällä hetkellä.

Arkham City on Gotham Cityn sisällä oleva linnakemainen alue joka toimii rikollisten turvapaikkana.

Voi olla että se saa nimensä siitä että sinne on tosiaan karannut paljon Arkham mielisairaalan väkeä?

No man`s land tyylinen aluejako voisi toimia hyvin. Joka alueella omat pomot ja Bättis yksitellen ottaa alueet hallintaansa.

Mul on sellanen käsitys että Kissanaisella ja Batmanilla olis sellanen viha/rakkaussuhde. Varsinkin koska Kissanainen ei tee väkivaltarikoksia, ainoastaan varkauksia yms. Onhan tämä nimittäin mestarivaras.

Voipi olla. Kelpaa kyllä mulle Huomautan myös että Jim Leen (joka käsittääkseni vastaa arkham-pelien taiteesta) versio Kissanaisesta on mielestäni kevyesti paras versio.

Kissanainen tosiaan sopisi cooppiin todella hyvin, ainakin paljon paremmin kuin joku Robin.

Robinin kohderyhmä oli varmaan aikoinaan vähän eri kuin se keille Batman on nykyään suunnattu..

Huhhuh, kuulostaapa todella hyvältä.

Kaksinaama siis haluaa Kissanaisen päiviltä. Villi veikkaus: pelin alussa Bättis pelastaa ja Kissasta tulee jonkin asteinen apuri?

Kaksi counteria samaan aikaan kuulostaa hyvältä. AA:n tappelusysteemi oli kyl tosi toimiva ja hauska, mutta ainahan siitä voi hieman monipuolisemman tehdä.

Lisää arvoituksia ja puzzleja siis, mahtavaa. AA:n Riddlet oli tosi hyvin rakennettuja.

Gadgeteistä: Kaikki AA:n gadgetit ovat siis heti alussa käytössä ja ainakin smoke bombia tulee myös myöhemmin. Mitäs porukka tykkäis uusiks vempaimiks?

- Sharp took credit for getting the Joker situation under control
- Sharp used that incident to help win the election
- He then declares Blackgate and Arkham unfit
- Sharp buys off a portion of the slums of Gotham
- He walls off the area, calls it Arkham City
- Sharp contracts a mercenary group named Tyger into defending the walls
- Prisoners given one rule: “Don’t try to escape”
- Penalty is death
- Prisoners free to do anything besides that within
- People who look into Hugo Strange disappear
- A year has taken place
- Two-Face is admitted into Arkham City
- Two-Face realizes he needs to make a move to assert himself in the prison so that he won’t be eaten alive
- He captures Catwoman, thinking that a public execution would help out his situation
- Devs. want a highly detailed city

- Example of this: Putting explosive gel on the back of an enemy
- A lot of the super villains have formed gangs, have control of different areas in the city
- Devs hoping to use more of the “forensics” angle from the first title, incorporate puzzles in them that will get more complex as you progress
- Most of the key gadgets unlocked late in the original are immediately available, but it seems it hasn’t been confirmed that all of them will
- Explosive gel, line launcher confirmed to be available by default
- Interrogations instead of Riddler maps now
- Press a button and Batman will taunt enemies
- Optional sidestories for some characters, including Zsasz
- New costume for Harley
- Broadcast analyzer: Mainly used so that Batman can listen to a message from the Joker
- There are several broadcasts Bats can listen to, including the GCPD dispatch and Gotham FM
- Orcacle is missing
- Because of this, Alfred is the one in Bruce’s ear
- Rocksteady not talking about multiplayer plans yet

Näyttää kyl, niin siistiltä toi peli et ei mitään järkeä. Arham Asylum tuli ihan puskista ja oli erittäin hyvä. Tätä nyt sit sais viel tovin odotella. Onneksi tulee paljo hyviä pelejä ennen sitä, niin kuluu aika hyvin.

Pienestä muovisuudesta huolimatta peli näyttää tosiaan ihan tajuttoman komealta. Eka peli on edelleen jäänyt pelaamatta, nyt viimeistään pitäisi saaketti sentään läpäistä!

- Arkham City is four or five times larger than Arkham Asylum.
- The game starts by being briefed by Alfred, he explains the Two-Face vs Catwoman situation and you start heading to the area the two are located.
- Batman is now much more agile, he is now able to plunge into a dive mid glide to accelerate flight.
- Two-Face has a gang roaming Arkham City, you will find them wearing face masks replicating their boss'.
- Criminals who aren't connected with any super villains roam the street.
- Story suggests that Professor Strange has been kidnapping Gotham citizens who are opposed to Arkham City.
- One and half years after the original game.
- Use new detective mode to discover a thugs super villain boss. This will be used to find The Riddlers men.
- The Riddler is in Arkham City, they hint you are almost certain to come face to face with him.
- Jack Ryder has been put into Arkham City due to him becoming to close to the truth on the city while working on an expose. Rocksteady where hesitant to reveal what Ryder had uncovered.
- Your first meeting with Two-Face is early on in the game. You are greeted with him displaying Catwoman tied up side down to a baying crowd of criminals. His two conflicting personalities being voiced out loud.
- Two-Face decides Catwoman's fate with the iconic coin toss. She gets lucky this time.
- The first confrontation with Two-Face results in Batman getting shot in the chest only for Catwoman to slip out of her chains and hit Two-Face into the acid she was about to be chucked into. A flirtatious conversation is then held between Catwoman and Batman only to be interrupted by a smiley face sniper dot rolling up Catwoman's suit. The shot is fired and misses her by a whisker.
- Your first detective mode experience is finding the bullet hole on the floor and figuring out its trajectory.
- Trajectory reveals the location of the shot. A bell tower housed by the Joker.
- Joker has a potentially fatal desease.
- Calendar Man is confirmed.
- The date and time effect your interaction with Calendar Man, set your console of PC's time a month ahead from last and you will receive a completely different conversation.
- Batman's launcher has received an upgrade, you can now stop at anytime instead of being forced to the end every time.
- You are pitted against a lot more thugs at once compared to the original game.
- Increased amount of combat animations.
- Phone booths ring only for thugs to stand by it, afraid to answer. Rumours going round suggest anyone that answers these calls end up dead.
- The mysterious caller ends up being Victor Zsasz, this starts one of many side quests in the game.
- To start the side quest you must follow a number of ringing phone boxes only to greeted with him at the final one.
- Co-Op seems to be hinted. Catwoman has very similar combat techniques to Batman when in game.
- Rocksteady suggest Crime Alley will make an appearance.
- Rocksteady insist that the only confirmed villains so far are the ones you have seen.

Love it or hate it, multiplayer is coming to Batman: Arkham City. Confirmed in this months issue of the popular UK magazine PSM3, they have proceeded in claiming that "Multiplayer is a certainty, but no details on this yet".
