3.3 World
You can choose between different worlds by hitting the L1 and R1 buttons.
3.3.1 Selecting a Lobby
You can select a lobby by using your controller’s left analog stick. The lobby’s number will become enlarged. Press the circle button when you want to enter a room.
The number on the character icon is the lobby’s number.
You can check how crowded a lobby is by it’s color (Blue is open, red is crowded). The maximum capacity for any lobby is 32 people.
You can check a lobby’s 「入場者数」(current number of people in lobby), 「４人ルームの数」(number of 4 person rooms), 「８人ルームの数」(number of 8 person rooms), and「フレンドの人数」(number of friend’s) before you enter the lobby.
You can move the left analog stick up or down to check the previous/next lobbies. Once you’ve decided on which one you would like to enter, hit the circle button to enter a lobby.
3.3.1.1 Lobby
In the lobby, the online user names of both you and of other players will be displayed.
*Changing your online user name
You can change your online user name by PlayStation®Network under the XMB™, choosing Account Management
→Account Information→Profile.
Also, you can do different avatar animations while in the lobby by holding the square button while you move the Left Analog stick up, down, left or right. Let’s use various actions to communicate!
3.3.1.1.1 Environment Settings
Once in the lobby, hitting the select button will take you to the 「環境設定」(Environment Settings).
You have four options: 「効果音設定」(Sound Effect Settings), 「チャネル設定」(Channel Settings),「ボイスチャット設定」(Voice Chat Settings), and 「背景設定」(Background Settings).
3.3.1.1.1.1 Sound FX
「効 果音設定」(Sound Effect Settings): You have four options, the first is no sound effects. The second, third and fourth all give you different sound effects when you do things like, move your avatar, open and close windows, etc. Move the cursor over one and hit circle once to select your option and once again to change the settings.
3.3.1.1.1.2 Ch Settings
「チャ ネル設定」(Channel Settings): There are four options. The first is 「自動的」(Automatic), the second "1 Ch, third is "6 Ch" and the fourth is "11 Ch". Move the cursor over one and hit circle once to select your option and once again to change the settings.
3.3.1.1.1.3 Voice Chat Settings
「ボ イスチャット設定」(Voice Chat Settings): You have two options 「ボイスチャットON」(Voice Chat On) and 「ボイスチャットOFF」(Voice Chat Off) Move the cursor over one and hit circle once to select your option and once again to change the settings.
3.3.1.1.1.4 Background Settings
「背景設定」(Background Settings): You have two options here,「初期設定に戻す」(Return to default settings), and 「壁紙を変便する」(Change Wallpaper).
「初期設定に戻す」(Return to default settings): Hit the circle button to change to the default settings.
「壁紙を変便する」(Change Wallpaper): Hit the circle button to bring up any available wallpapers you have stored on your
PS3 ®, if any. Move the cursor and your ok button.
3.3.1.1.2 Option
You have four options here: 「フレンドリスト」(Friends List), 「歴史/ブックマーク」(History/Bookmark), 「チャットログ表示」(Display Chat Log), 「ロビーを出る」(Leave Lobby)
3.3.1.1.2.1 Friends List
Select the first option 「フレンドリスト(Friends list) and hit the circle button. Select the name of a friend you want to jump to and hit the circle button twice.
3.3.1.1.2.2 History/Bookmark
Select 「歴史/ブックマーク」(History/Bookmark) and hit the circle button. You will have three options here: 「歴史を表示」(Display History),「ブックマークを表示」(Display Bookmarks), or「このロビーをブックマークする」(Bookmark this lobby)
3.3.1.1.2.2.1 Display History
You have the option of deleting any lobby you visited since turning on the program. If you exit the program, these will be erased automatically.
Select 「歴史を表示」(Display History) and hit the circle button. Any lobbies you have recently entered will appear in the list below. Select a lobby and then hit circle twice to delete the lobby from the list.
3.3.1.1.2.2.2 Display Bookmark
You have the option of deleting any lobbies that you may have bookmarked. Even if you exit the program, you bookmarks will NOT be deleted.
Select 「ブックマークを表示」(Display Bookmarks) and hit the circle button. Select a booked marked lobby and hit the circle button twice to delete the lobby from the list.
3.3.1.1.2.2.3 Bookmark this Lobby
You can bookmark a lobby for future reference. Your bookmarked lobbies will remain bookmarked until you choose to delete them from your list.
To bookmark a lobby, select「このロビーをブックマークする」(Bookmark this lobby) and hit the circle button. You will have two options, 「はい」(Yes), and「いいえ」(No). Default is on 「いいえ」(No), so if you want to bookmark the lobby you need to move the cursor to the left and select「はい」(Yes). Then hit circle.
If you have already bookmarked this lobby, the following error will display:
「このロビーは登録済みです（4006）」(This lobby has already been registered(4006)).
3.3.1.1.2.3 Display Chat Log
You can check the chat log for that lobby by selecting 「チャットログ表示」(Display Chat Log).
On the Chat Log Screen, you can use the R2 button to enlarge the text, or the L2 button to make it smaller.
You can also use the Left Analog stick to scroll up and down if needed.
3.3.1.1.2.4 Leave Lobby
To leave the lobby select「ロビーを出る」(Leave Lobby) and hit the circle button. You will have to options: 「ワールド画面へ」(To World Screen), or「タイトル画面へ」(To Title Screen)
3.3.1.1.2.4.1 To World Screen
To go back to the World Screen select 「ワールド画面へ」(To World Screen) and hit the circle button.
3.3.1.1.2.4.2 To Title Screen
To go back to the Title Screen, select「タイトル画面へ」(To Title Screen) and hit the circle button.
3.3.1.1.3 Lobby Chat
You can open the 「チャット入力」(Chat input) window and are able to input the text of your choice, by hitting the Start button. If you’re using a USB keyboard you can also open the window by hitting either the “Space” key or the “Enter” key.
As soon as you are done entering text, a speech bubble will appear.
Warning!!
Please be courteous when speaking to others and have their feelings under consideration. Everyone in the lobby is able to see what you type. There is a chance you may convey things to people outside your intended party, so refrain from exchanging personal information.
3.3.1.1.3.1 Text size
In the lobby, room information can be enlarged by hitting the R2 button or made smaller by hitting the L2 button.
3.3.1.1.3.2 PM
Use the pointer by moving the Left Analog Stick and hit the circle button while placing your pointer on another user and select 「このプレイヤーに発言」(Speak to this player) (*Note: Other players will not be able to see your conversation).
3.3.1.1.3.3 Friend Request
Use the pointer by moving the Left Analog Stick and hit the circle button while placing your pointer on another user and select「フレンド申し込み」(Request to become friends).
3.3.1.1.4 Room Types
When you go into the lobby, you will find icons for “A Free room” (A room with the door open), “A password room” (A room with a key on it), “A closed room” (A room with no door), “A voice chat prohibited room”(A room with a headset sign and an X in the middle) and “An 8 person room” (A room that looks like a building with windows).
3.3.1.1.5 Create a room
Move your pointer using the Left Analog stick and hit the circle button and choose 「ROOMを作成する」(Create a room).
From the 「ルームを作る」(Make a room) screen, you can 「ルーム名の変更」(Change the room name), 「コメント入力」(Input comments), 「パスワード設定」(Change password settings), 「ボイスチャット設定」(Change Voice Chat Settings On/Off)「ゲームサーチ設定」(Change Game Search Settings On/Off).
3.3.1.1.6 Options
In room access the Options Menu by hitting the Triangle Button. You have 4 different options: 「ルームを出る」(Leave Room),「コメントを書きかえる」(Change Comment),「ルームのオープン/クローズ」(Room Open/Close), 「強制退出」(Kick)
3.3.1.1.6.1 Leave room
To leave the room, select 「ルームを出る」(Leave Room) and hit the circle button. It will warn you that if the host leaves the room, the room will be disbanded. Hit 「はい」(Yes) to leave the room, 「いいえ」(No) to stay.
3.3.1.1.6.2 Change Comment
To change the room’s comment, select 「コメントを書きかえる」(Change Comment) and hit the circle button.
3.3.1.1.6.3 Room open/close
If you want to close the room to prevent others from entering the room, select 「ルームのオープン/クローズ」(Room Open/Close) choose 「クローズ」(Close). To reopen a room select 「オープン」(Open).
3.3.1.1.6.4 Kick
If you want to kick someone out of your room, select 「強制退出」(Kick) and hit the circle button. A list will appear. Select the person you want to kick and hit the circle button twice.
3.3.1.1.7 Joining a room
To enter a room that has already been made, select 「入室する」(Enter room) by moving the pointer over the room and hitting the circle button.
3.3.1.1.8 Inside the room
In the room, only members in the room can see the text chat.
A speech bubble will appear next to members that send a text chat. (Note: Speech bubbles will not appear in 8 people rooms).
Members who are able to do voice chat will have their icons active. Voice chat is only transmitted to the member in the room. You can hit the R3 button to switch the mute on and off.
You can change the 「ボイスチャットグループ」(Voice Chat Group) by hitting the square button. Then, only those who are lit will be able to talk to others that are lit, while those not lit will only be able to talk to other who are not lit.
3.3.1.1.8.1 Comment Line
You can write a one-line message using the select button. You can use this to convey your objectives, your
PSP® player name, or other things you would like to communicate.
3.3.1.1.8.2 Chat input
While in the room press the Start button to bring up the Chat Input window. The “enter” and “back” buttons are according to your system’s settings so it may take a little getting used to figure out when circle means “back” and when it means “enter.”
3.3.1.1.8.3 Sound Calls
You can use the Directional pad to active 「サウンドコール」(Sound Calls). You can decide ahead of time signals to use during times when you don’t have the luxury of text chatting.
