Monsterit riehuvat Live-kauppapaikalla
Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbiasta on julkaistu pelattava demo Xbox 360:n Live-kauppapaikalla. South Peak Interactiven ja Artificial Studiosin tuotos sisältää yhteistyöpelaamiseen painottuvaa monsterinlahtausta klassisesta lintuperspektiivistä kuvattuna.
Ilmainen kokeiluversio kattaa palan yksinpeliä ja tukee moninpelikarkeloita sekä samalla koneella että verkossa. Lataamisen edellytyksinä ovat maksullinen Live Gold -jäsenyys ja noin 435 megatavua vapaata kiintolevytilaa.
Monster Madness julkaistaan huomenna Microsoftin konsolille ja PC:lle.

Wii viime viikon myydyin
Gamesindustry.biz-sivustolle puhuneen Nintendon mukaan Wiit menivät pääsiäisenä kuin kuumille kiville. Juhlapyhään hyvin varustetut jälleenmyyjät myivät Isossa-Britanniassa 25 000 konsolia viime viikolla.
Brittien saaren myyntiä seuraavan Chart-Trackin vuotaneista tilastoista paljastuu, että uusinta PlayStationia toimitettiin samana ajanjaksona 17 000 konsolia, kun Microsoftin Xbox 360:tä saatiin kauppoihin 11 000 kappaletta. Chart-Track kieltäytyi kommentoimasta tietoja.

Resistance vahvoilla Euroopan listoilla
PlayStation 3:n julkaisupelit menestyivät mainiosti Italiassa ja Espanjassa aprillipäivään päättyneellä viikolla Resistance: Fall of Manin vallatessa ykkössijan molemmissa maissa.
Aikaisemmalla viikolla Saksassa Resistance jäi toiseksi PC:n S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobylin viedessä kirkkaimman mitalin.

PS3:n 20GB-malli tulossa jo tiensä päähän? *PÄIVITYS*
Sonyn oma Sony Style -nettikauppa on poistanut valikoimistaan PlayStation 3:n 20 gigan kiintolevyllä varustetun "perusmallin". Vastaavan päätöksen ovat tehneet myös Amazon.com, Best Buy, GameStop, EB Games ja Circuit City, joiden verkkosivuilta ei tuotetta enää löydy.
Euroopassa PS3 julkaistiin vain kaikilla herkuilla varustetun 60GB-mallin voimin ja edullisemman 20GB-version ilmoitettiin saapuvan joskus myöhemmin.

Iso-Britannian Official PlayStation Magazinen mukana ilmestyy kesäkuusta lähtien myös blu-ray-demolevy, joka sisältää muun muassa pelattavia demoja niin Sonyn omilta studioilta, kuin myös kolmansilta osapuolilta.
Lisäsisällöksi luvataan teräväpiirtoisia trailereita peleistä sekä leffoista ja tulevaisuudessa on suunnitelmissa julkaista levyllä myös lukijoiden tuottamaa materiaalia.
Kesäkuun lehti ilmestyy heti ensimmäinen päivä ja se saapuu varmasti myös kotimaisiin hyvin varustettuihin lehtipisteisiin.

Financial Timesin mukaan PS3-pelaajilta saatetaan piankin kysyä halukkuudesta tarjota oman konsolinsa laskentatehoja myös yritysten käyttöön.
Tällä hetkellä PS3-omistajat voivat osallistua Stanfordin yliopiston voittoa tavoittelemattomaan Folding@Home-tutkimukseen, jossa pyritään etsimään hoitokeinoja mm. erilaisiin syöpiin ja Alzheimerin tautiin.
